Hi there! I’m Courtney. Wife to my devoted husband, Mike. I’ve been pregnant or nursing for 10 years, and this past decade has certainly changed me in many ways. While I wear many hats, I am now knee deep in my greatest calling as mama to Bella, Beau, Rock, Forrest and Greta. We live on three acres in Winfield, Illinois, a suburb about 30 miles west of Chicago. I’m not a morning person, but I really want to be. Some of my favorite things are my chickens, coffee, baby breath, sweater weather and watching the fall colors change. I’ve made a point in my life to intentionally seek out the magnificent in the mundane, daily. I have found that, for me, it creates an aware mind and thankful heart for all the many blessings I’ve been given by Our Lord.
I’ve always had a love for photography and pursued my hobby at a very young age. I’d take pictures of nature, animals, kids and everything else. I loved messing around with the settings and gawked at the bokeh (blurred background) I could create by shooting inanimate objects around the house with a wide open aperture. I photographed my first engagement session for a friend and then my sister in law’s wedding in 2009. I knew nothing about posing, shot in JPEG, delivered the images on a CD in a cardboard sleeve, and felt pretty great about it. Rest assured, I’ve come a long way since then. Almost ten years of experience and hundreds of galleries later, I now shoot with the goal of creating emotive, consistent and personable images. I focus on babies, maternity, and families but dabble in engagements and senior portraits as well when I’m able. I’d love to capture your love.
Thanks for stopping by!
